This page explains how da Carla — part of Gustatus AB — handles your personal data when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.

Data controller

Gustatus AB, company registration number 556363-7031, c/o Hägg, Gäddvägen 11, 181 30 Lidingö, Sweden, is the data controller. You can reach us at info@gustatus.se.

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter we store your email address, your name if you provide one, the language and website you signed up on, the time of your consent and the exact consent wording shown to you. When we send a newsletter we also record whether it was delivered, opened, whether you clicked a link, and whether it bounced.

Why we process it

We use the data to send you newsletters with recipes, news and offers, and to understand what gets read so we can make them better. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time — see below.

Double opt-in

After you sign up we send you an email with a confirmation link. You only become a subscriber once you click it. If you never click, your address stays unused and you receive nothing.

Giveaways

If you sign up while a giveaway is running you are automatically entered. We then store the link between your subscription and that giveaway so we can draw and contact a winner.

Who processes data for us

We use Resend to send email (data stored in the EU, region eu-west-1), Supabase for our database and Vercel for the website and our APIs. They process the data only on our instructions. We never sell your data and never share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe we keep your email address flagged as unsubscribed so you are not accidentally added again, together with the record of your consent as GDPR documentation. If you want to be erased entirely, just tell us.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to the processing and to receive it in a machine-readable format. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email. Contact us at info@gustatus.se and we will help. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Contact form and chat assistant

If you send us a message through the contact form we use the details to reply to you. The site also has a chat assistant; what you write there is sent to our provider Anthropic in order to answer it. Please do not enter sensitive personal data in the chat.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
